Most recently, he served as founder, co-chairman and CEO of Reliant Technologies, which was acquired by Solta Medical (now Valeant Pharmaceuticals International Inc., NYSE: VRX); there he led a team of scientists, engineers and physicians in developing, testing and launching Fraxel, the award-winning, medical-laser technology for skin surgery that defined a new category of science called fractional photothermolysis. Before launching Reliant, his startup, customer- and market-research firm National Information Systems Inc., conducted extensive marketing and branding campaigns, marketing assessments and trend research for leading Fortune 500 corporations. He is also co-founder and previous chairman of BioPharma Scientific LLC, specializing in the integration of pharmaceutical nanotechnology into the field of nutraceuticals. An internationally recognized speaker, Dr. Howe has written and co-written several top-selling books, including “Quality on Trial: Bringing Customer Relationships into Focus,” “Miracle of Stem Cells: How Adult Stem Cells are Transforming Medicine” and a five-part implementation-manual series for McGraw Hill, “Business to Business Marketing Management System.” He is an American College of Forensic Examiners Diplomate and an active board member of the USO. He earned his Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Alliant University, his M.S. in psychology from the University of Maine and his B.S. in management from the University of Rochester.
